"Sensitive to my needs and professional in your actions"
Krista; I would like to thank Laura and yourself for all your help navigating this journey during the past year. You have both been sensitive to my needs and professional in your actions.- Stan J. -
"Krista and Laura Went Above and Beyond to Assure Us!"
Krista and Laura were great with everything they helped me and Aldo with. You answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to assure us we were doing everything correctly.
Thank you so much for making our decisions more clear and understandable. I highly recommend you to any of my friends and family that need legal advise or assistance.

About
Laura was raised in Southern California and has been in Colorado now for over 25 years. Laura obtained her bachelor’s degree in business from Cal Poly, Pomona and earned her Paralegal Certificate from Arapahoe Community College. While performing her paralegal studies, Laura interned with Metro Volunteer Lawyers, which provides pro bono services in the Denver Metro Area to those in need who are living at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Laura fell in love with family law and the idea of helping people. That, coupled with being fresh from a divorce herself, she knew there was no other area of law that made sense for her. She has been practicing exclusively as a family law paralegal since May 2010.
In June of 2024, she was honored to be sworn in as a part of the first group of Colorado Licensed Legal Paraprofessionals (LLP’s). Laura is extremely excited to practice family law in a new, extended capacity and also looks forward to helping her attorney counterpart, Michael L. Cheroutes, Jr., with the Arapahoe County Bar pro see clinics and cases.
In her spare time, Laura loves to run, hike, play pickle ball, volunteer at the Delores Project and hang out with her friends, daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend. She is a huge animal lover and has a dog, cat and a number of koi fish. She also loves to watch college football....and you may even catch her saying “Roll Tide”.
